6 DAYS RWANDA GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING

Day 1. Arrive at Kigali airport, where you will meet our guide to welcome you and take you to office to finalize details and get any info needed. head to Nyungwe, visit the kings palace and route. The drive through Nyungwe forest that is breathtaking. Stay at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel which is fine, and it will take you a full day drive getting to Nyungwe.

Day 2. Chimpanzee trekking. see a beautiful family up really close in the trees and then leaving the trees and some within almost touching distance. Have about an hour with them, get the most beautiful experience. Then walk to the canopy which is good, drive to Kivu Mantis marina bay on lake Kivu. Absolutely stunning views.

Day 3. Drive through the Congo Nile trail along lake Kivu have stop over at the Comoron for lunch. visit the genocide monument

alongside the church in Kibuye. Very moving like so many of the monuments throughout the country. Arrive at Paradise Malahide hotel and take a boat trip on lake Kivu ending in the hot springs which look amazing (especially the traditional massage in the hot springs followed by mud and then swim out into the lake).

Day 4. Take a boat to a community coffee farm you will see coffee from seedlings to grinding it yourselves over a fire and drinking it. Lovely experience. On return head to Mountain gorilla view lodge.

Day 5. In the morning, wake up at 5am for your gorilla trekking-the highlight of the trip. On a long quite difficult hike (it will take about 3hours to find the gorillas) but it will be so worth it. spend a glorious hour with the Igisha family of gorillas, watching babies play and adults laze and make their noises. Go close to them. Visit the Ellen de Generis museum afterwards.

Day 6. Trekking to see golden monkeys which really a fascinating experience. Then drive back to Kigali and stay at heaven boutique hotel where the food is super delicious. Depart for your next adventure or back to home country.
